Have you ever fancied trying something different, trying scuba diving? Did you know
that you can try it here in Royston with Herts Divers? Why not try scuba diving for
yourself in a safe environment? Strap on some scuba gear and have a try-dive. What's
more, if you enjoy it, some of the skills you practice on that first night can be
credited to the PADI Open Water Diver certification which is a dive certification
recognised the world over and will open up a new world to you.
Who can scuba dive? Well, the simple answer is - almost anyone. Scuba divers are
aged from 8 years and over and there is no upper age limit. Herts Divers have students
as young as 12 and advanced divers in every age group. Like every dive club we also
come from all walks of life. Did you know that the Prince of Wales is a scuba diver?
In 1975 the Prince spent 47 minutes investigating the wreck of the Mary Rose – he
was the first Royal to see the ship since Henry VIII saw it sink! This was the first
of many dives he made to the wreck before she was raised for preservation.
Hertsdivers are a multiagency club, having divers of all levels. We enjoy dive trips
wherever and whenever we can. We also enjoy a good social life, meeting every other
Tuesday.
Please contact us if would like any more information about the club.
